I'm a recently retired 58 year old who started a journey 12 years ago towards personal financial enlightenment. I took a leap of faith into self-directed investments in the early 2000's, was inspired by a young lady engineer over many water-cooler chats towards passive index-investing, became fully involved with my own money management over 10 years, and recently retired. Now I'm in the early stages of managing my own decumulation of assets, and I am learning new things that are not so easy to find information on. I'm eager to share my experiences, learnings, and perspectives to inspire others.
